Spaa-Glämping

Glämping... What a word, right? I visited this fine glämping while on a biking trip from Matsalu to Tartu. The sun was constantly burning and the temperatures at night were about 20. That's about as bad as it ever gets in Estonia. Being tired of sleeping in a tent and washing with ice cold well water I figured a glämping was exactly what I needed. The host here is very nice and didn't mind at all that I rolled in half naked and smelling like a sock. He was, in fact, half naked himself! I spent the night in the tent in the yard and made good use of the shower. The place was very comfortable, with the only drawback being that in the morning it, as all tents, gets really hot. It is, after all, exposed to the morning sun. There's a chair to sit outside the tent and I thoroughly enjoyed reading a book in the setting sun there. Drinking one of the two small beers that I had bought from the nearby Konsum (two seemed excessive). In the morning I was confused to find that in the kitchen there was no kettle, although coffee was present. But no worries, I was camping after all! I had my stove an aeropress with me and mad some coffee on the terrace. As a side note there's a nice treehouse in the yard as well, but I didn't manage to see that from the inside as it was occupied by two men whom I assume were construction workers, but didn't manage to confirm as they spoke less Estonian than I speak Russian.

Quiet calm place. Staying in a tent and in bed was a separate experience. There could have been a heater in our climate.
