The museum houses a collection of objects in the Old Believer theme, the history of the Old Believers in Mustvee dates back 30 years. This collection belongs to the oldest collection in Estonia, which tells about the Russian culture of the Old Believers. Objects and sources for the museum were collected by students and teachers of Mustvinsky Russian Grammar School. The collection of 15 years was located in school premises located at ul. Narvskaya 22. The museum is registered as Mustvins Local Lore Museum of the Old Believers since 2008. The museum presents various topics: Old Believers, Lake Peipsi, Mustvee, Kalevipoeg, ethnography of Lake Peipsi environs.
