Food and service was superb as always!! The fish and chips were delicious and the coleslaw is creamy and yummy. Presentation was beautiful. The service was so friendly and helpful. I can’t rate this place enough and well worth the travel to a quaint little village with lovely walks in the surrounding area. We will definitely be back!!

A lovely restaurant in an old railway station building. The food was really tasty, portions were huge and good value. The sticky toffee pudding was so good and a welcome taste of home. The owner was also welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return.

We have been to Vana Waksal restaurant twice now, and each time we have enjoyed the friendly service and excellent food. The fish and chips is so fresh and highly recommended. Only a 5 minute walk from Aegviidu Station and 50 minutes from Tallinn by train. Definately worth it for a quick hop out of town for lunch or dinner. Thank you Piret. See you soon!

Yes, a wonderful concept, great food and good service. However, mixing the Irish theme, especially loud Irish music, into this unique atmosphere of an old Estonian railway station is somehow disturbing. Anyhow, worth a visit.

This place is a treat and getting high marks for a reason - quite a unique building (an old rail station) with some pretty awesome service. Menu is supposedly Irish, as the head chef /owner is from Ireland, but it's actually a bit of a mix. But portions are big and reasonably priced. And the main lady of the house is super welcoming and will easily show you around the building if you're happy to follow her. Top notch hospitality and great food - so make sure you book in advance!
