Maarja-Magdaleena, Tabivere, Jõgevamaa, 58.609749, 26.741235 58 ° 36 '35.10 ", 26 ° 44' 28.45" The Church of Mary Magdalene is the church of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran parish. The church is located on the territory that used to belong to Tartumaa, according to the modern division of territories, the church is located on the territory of Jõgeva County, in the village of Mary Magdalena. The first mention of the church dates back to 1380. At that time, the church was auxiliary at the arrival of the Palamuse. As an independent parish, the church of Mary Magdalene is mentioned in 1443. Obviously, the church was built in the second half of the 14th century or in the 15th century. Three-naved church, without choral room. During the wars of the 16th century, most of the church of Mary Magdalene was destroyed. Once a year, on the ruins of the church, a Palamic teacher of the church of Mary Magdalene conducted a ministry. By 1627 only walls were preserved from the church. In 1642, the construction of a new church began, while at the same time, a church teacher moved to the village of Mary Magdalene. By a strange coincidence, during the Northern War, the church remained untouched, however, after the war ended, the church, nevertheless, needed repair work. In 1885-1887, the old church was completely rebuilt and acquired neo-Gothic forms. The original northern, western and southern walls were preserved in the church, the eastern part of the church was extended, in addition, a tower was added, the northern portal now has a front one, and the windows were enlarged. The church was consecrated again in the fall of 1887. This church now has 700 seats. The last major overhaul was carried out in 1937.
