It was a bit difficult to get in - there were no signs, no entrance marked but in the end the experience was very good. The museum is rather small but with lot of information. We also got a tour around the whole building. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all questions. Everyone should visit this place.

An interesting small museum near the harbor. A bit difficult to enter, as you need to press a button at tje street to have gates and door opened. Friendly staff. Texts in Estonian and Russian, though I was told to ask for papers in English about the parts I am interested.

If you are interested in the history of the Jewish community in Tallinn and Estonia this is a must visit. Beautiful synagogue and community center attached.

This museum gives an introduction to Jewish History in Estonia from the first weiteren mentioning to the rebuilding of the present Jewish Community. The information is focused on the Jewish life in Estonian from the 19th century, during the two World War and the the Soviet era, but encloses the contribution of Estonian Jews to society in fields of science, arts, economy and culture to paint a wider picture than the portrayal of Jews as victims. The discription of the displays is only in Estonian and Russian, but audio Guides are available in more languages (e.g. English) with the choice of having a brief overview or a long tour (information obtained can be Chosen by selecting the Display Number). Written historical material can be obtained as well, the entry is otherwise free. The museum can be reached through the gates at the community complex. Don't be alarmed by the Security, you can move around freely after being let in by the Guard. Just Ring the door Bell and say that you Wish to visit the museum.
