I loved it. Don't know if it is same for foreigners, as I am Estonian, but it was so interesting to see how my home town developed. It took some time as the exhibition was big enough.

The museum was absolutely lovely! The staff made us feel very welcome and they kept us entertained with lots of further information and were willing to answer the multitude of questions we asked, making sure none of them were left unanswered. The museum itself was very enjoyable, lots of interesting history to uncover and the variety of displays certainly keeps you entertained.

Very interesting and affordable museum. Spent there around 2,5 hours. Tells the story of Tallinn from ancient times. The stuff was very friendly, educsted and communicative

Tells the story of Tallinn in an honest and interesting way. The exhibits are varied, it's not all antiquities although there are lots. I particularly enjoyed a the section where there is an interactive display called 'what other people say about us' or something along those lines. There were four main headings two of which were alcohol and bagpipes, which speaks to me as a Scotsman! There was an account from a German guy in the 1500's (I think could have been another date) who said words to the effect of 'you can stand and tell them how to do a thing better for 10 minutes or 10 hours. They'll calmly and patiently listen to you but once you are finished they'll return to doing their task exactly as they were doing it before.' 😁

I would say very unexpected surprise for Tallin. This museum is a very nice choice if you want to learn about the history of Estonia.
