A place to investigate, with numerous prehistoric paintings, belonging to the chalcolithic, anthropomorphic, schematic, abstract paintings ... use of red and white .... You have to climb a lot to enter the cave, although there are paintings below on slopes They look like porches and have protected the paintings from erosion. Right between Mohedas de la Jara, Toledo and Alía, Cáceres.

The Cueva de los Doblones is an interesting natural site quite inaccessible. It is a simple hollow in the rock that was once a refuge for bandits, fugitives or persecuted for their political ideals. To reach it, you have to ascend to the summits of the Sierra de Altamira, between Toledo and Cáceres between the municipalities of Alía and Mohedas de la Jara. The main drawback is that you have to make a small climb of approximately 6 meters to access the cave. There are small handles carved into the rock that help to climb and descend.
