A fantastic churchnThe Church of San Julián de Santa Olalla (Toledo) is one of the two catholic temples of this municipality, San Pedro Apóstol and San Julián. It has its origins in the sixteenth century.nIt was founded in the first quarter of the 16th century by the first Count of Orgaz and Lord of Santa Olalla, Alvar Pérez de Guzmán Suárez de Mendoza. It was extended and restructured by his descendant the Count of Orgaz, Juan Hurtado de Mendoza Guzmán and Rojas (Antoniana (Álava), 1536 - Santa Olalla, 1606) married to Leonor Carrillo de Figueroa. It was built over an older Mudejar chapel, at the beginning of the 16th century, the Toledo architect Juan de Espinosa Monegro drew the current design in 1618. The decoration is mainly Baroque from the 17th century, and important artists such as Luis Tristán took part in it, Juan Carreño de Miranda, José Martínez Colmenero, Juán Gómez Lobo and Toribio González.
