Very helpful
Always unpunctual, unfriendly and extremely expensive, just like Germany. You live up to expectations.
First of all: The issue of the travel document was super uncomplicated and we are completely satisfied, thank you very much!
All of our valuables including identity cards and bank cards were stolen from our car, so a travel document was necessary for the return flight.
This is to be done:
- Report to the police. At the Police National you are referred to a telephone hotline, where you can see the report, among other things. can give up in German. You then have to go back to the local Police National to sign and print the documents.
- Take biometric photos. If you are already in Puerto de la Cruz, the honorary consul recommends "Foto Benavides" on the promenade of Puerto de la Cruz, here you can park easily and 4 photos cost 6 euros.
- Drive to the honorary consul during opening hours. Following the other reviews, it's probably worth visiting early. In our case there was very little going on and we got on it immediately (because of Corona). In advance we tried to call to make sure that the office was really open (as a review here said that if the employees were sick, there would be no substitute and then it would be closed). Nobody answered it and we drove from Los Cristianos to Puerto de la Cruz with good luck. It is also worth being prepared, we filled out the applications from the website online and printed them out at the hotel and brought them with us, and we also had photos of our stolen IDs with us. So we only had to wait 40 minutes (taking a break in the sun in front of the door) and after a short check with the German authorities we got the travel document issued as a passport replacement.
- The travel document costs 21 euros per person. Since all of our cards were also stolen and our emergency cash wasn't there yet, transferring the fees wasn't a problem either.
Thanks again for the quick and easy processing!
It went very well, good service, friendly, efficient, they give advice to solve any document, etc.
My wife and I can only say a big thank you for the nice and competent lady. A little clarification. You get a number when there is no conversation in the office. Otherwise there is always a break. You get the number and you can see the running number inside or outside in the waiting room. I wonder why everyone is so stressed out? ? We can read something or enjoy the sun
