Good way to remember such an illustrious writer from Cantabria. In the monument you can see the bust of the writer above. Down and around the rock are represented his different and most important works, which I recommend reading.

Nice monument. Surrounded by gardens. Near the Botín building. At least you understand what you're seeing. Bravo for the head of urban planning in Santander. Not like in other cities, that not even putting all your imagination and wisdom into it you can decipher its meaning or what it represents.

Nice monument to José María de Pereda, was a Spanish novelist of the realistic period. Reputed for his novels of customs and corresponding of the Royal Spanish Academy. He was also a politician affiliated with Carlism.
