Two of the points of special ethnographic interest in Vilde are the laundry room and the bowling alley. In Vilde, as in other towns of Cantabria and Oriente de Asturias, the bolus palma is played, also called mountain bolo, bolos a emboque or bolos a birle. The bolos palma were born in Cantabria, being the area with the largest number of licenses and historically played in the Asturian municipalities of Peñamellera and Ribadedeva (to which Vilde belongs), valleys that belonged to Cantabria until the 19th century. Currently, it is also played in Castila and Leon (Burgos and Palencia), Madrid, Andalucia (Cadiz), Euskal Herria (Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa), Catalunya (Barcelona), Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela.nThe bowling in Vilde has had a historical importance being a meeting place and even the festivities of the population came to be celebrated in it. Recently it has been restored offering visitors the possibility of seeing an urban and sporting element of special ethnographic interest.nAsturias is the third territory in number of bowling licenses (counting all modalities), behind Euskal Herria and Cantabria; and the second in the palm, behind Cantabria.
