Near Potes. Imposing and the best thing to do is take a walk through one of the hermitages in its surroundings. Continuing we find the hermitage of San Miguel and there the road for cars ends.

It is a monastery that is on the same level as Santiago, Rome and Jerusalem. A must for pilgrims to Santiago and for anyone who has an interest in this type of buildings.nVisit that a Franciscan priest told us about the three who currently live in it.nIt has a relic of the Cross where Jesus was crucified, that can be seen and touched.nGreat visit Recommended

Place to visit if you are a believer, is where the largest piece of the cross is kept

Place of pilgrimage for Christians, I think it has no interest for agnostics. There is nothing monumental, except nature. It is accessed through the narrow pass of La Hermida, which is a long journey in which you have to drive carefully.nDuring my visit on November 1, 18 there was snow on the summits of Potes. In the mass attended by the abbot gave an excellent explanation of the site and its history
