It is another of the emblematic fountains of Oviedo.nIt is located in Campo de San Francisco, at the southern end of Paseo del Bombé.nAfter 5 years without functioning, finally, this December, and with the new municipal corporation, the rehabilitation and commissioning works were undertaken.nPaseo del Bombé is a typical place to walk in the center of Oviedo.nPeople surround the source of the Ranas and then go around the Fuentona, turning the walk into a very defined circuit.nIt is visited daily by many people.nFrom 8 pipes there are as many inclined jets that are combined with 8 vertical jets and a higher central jet crowns the fountain.

A pity that for a couple of years I have no water ... The problem is the leaks that appeared both in the pipes and in the suppliers. The fact is that they do not solve it and it is so horrible ... In addition, day by day you see how the structure is deteriorating, cracks appear and gives a very sad appearance of abandonment ...

It is located in Campo de San Francisco, it was inaugurated in 1875, it is a memorial to a hydraulic work, the bringing of water to the city. It is made up of a central cup surrounded by four smaller ones on which it pours its waters. Legend has it that students accused of being whistleblowers were punished with a dip.
