Amazing site! El Portarró D'espot is located between the lake of Sant Maurici and the Llong lake, the views are spectacular, the average duration to climb this place from the Sant Maurici park, it is 3 hours and if you want to climb the peak it is a hour added, level: normal but intense as the entire route is a rise of 400 meters of altitude and the climb to the peak is advanced because the elevation is very high and the rise is slow but by people accustomed to the The mountain is a must-have place

amazingly beautiful. Passes right in the center of the reserve, and is a kind of midway from Aspet to Bowie. I went there on May 23, 1919, and the asput from Aspot was a bit hard, the snow covered most of the area and I had to understand topographically where the path went to make progress and not make a mistake on the way, and find rows of rocks and bare grass to step on them and not on the snow. If there were more zenats to mark the trails, it would be very helpful.

Its location, halfway between Lake Sant Maurici and Lake Llong, make it the nerve center of the Aigüestortes National Park. It is a very accessible excursion from the side of Aigüestortes to see the view from the other side.

The Portarró d'Espot is a hill located 2,424 meters between the Pic del Portarró and the Agulla del Portarró and is considered the center of the Aigüestortes National Park and Sant Maurici Lake as it connects the Espot Valley (Estany de Sant Maurici) with the valley of Boí (Aigüestortes).
