A local from San Sebastian highly recommended this place and we are really thankful that we did! We turned up a bit late and managed to get a table outdoors, by the water. The service, the monkfish, the dessert... everything was top class. We took a long walk after lunch towards the secluded beach and mirador. What a great day!

We had been looking forward to dining here from the reviews. We had reservations on Tuesday evening at 8:30.nIt was raining and our driver walked with us to the restaurant. It was 8:15.nWhen we arrived, there were no lights on outside or inside , except a small one upstairs .. we knocked and knocked, the rain was now heaviernWe realized , after the long drive , that no one was there or answering the doornWe started to walk back, saw a small bar open. Carlos our driver went inside to ask about the restaurant. A woman seated at the end of the bar , curtly tapped repeatedly on her watch and said it opened in 15 minutes. Would not look at us and turned back to her friends at the bar..nI would understand to wait , but when the outside and inside lights are off and no servers in sight getting ready.. we felt unwelcome and surprised to find no reception..nI would think twice going there, especially for the long drive from our hotel the Maria Cristina, to be treated ungraciously by a staff member sitting at the neighborhood bar fifteen minutes before the restaurant was to open!nI called the next day and the proprietor was apologetic at least..nMelinda Winet ~Los Angeles

An absolutely amazing restaurant. The highest quality seafood we had in all of Europe and the staff were exceptional.nnThe lobster, monkfish and cockles were all of the highest quality and prepared beautifully. The waiter recommended a great wine to accompany the meal also.nnOnly 15min from San Sebastian it is an easy trip. We reserved a table via email. And after our meal the staff were more than happy to call us a taxi to take us back into town.

The (sea) food was delicious, the recommended wine very tasty, complementing the dish very well, the hosts were friendly and proud to offer this high quality food in the family run restaurant. Thank you for a fantastic evening!
