L'Ampolla - Perelló - Deltebre

Horrible railway station, no signs on street level, horribly long and steep stairs up to the actual station, nobody speeks English, the ticket person is often not there so you would need to pay in the train. There are monitors for arrival and departure (up at the station, not down on street level). So, if you try your luck with one of those options of stairs up from the street level to the station platform level and you then find out it is the wrong platform, or if you look at the wrong monitor (for arrivals instead departures) you target the wrong platform and in the end need to do these horrible stairs 2 more times. There is no direct way from platform 1 to 2, you always need to climb these long stairs with all of your luggage! Tickets are sold only at plarform 1. There also is the only toilet. Actually, there were 2 toilets next to each other, but one was blocked, and when I was inside the other one the neon lights started flickering and shortly after that went out completely - so I was in the dark in there! The station is - to my knowledge, at least there were no such signs - inaccessible for handicaped people. And it is a real physical challenge for people with heavy luggage because there is - to the best of my knowledge - no ramp at all to any of the two platforms. You always need to manage these long, steep stairs. So, in consequence, this railway station makes you hate this entire place! By the way, you can get tickets only for travel on that same day. You can not get a ticket for a travel days in advance.I

Ideal place to spend a holiday. Beautiful beach for children and adults, with shower and small typical Spanish restaurant. Not expensive and July-August with a little more tourists but very bearable because small village and no Tarragona-style mass tourists.

At the station there is a bar and ticket booth.
