It is a museum that is part of the set of museums of the Terres de l'Ebre with its main headquarters in Amposta with the Terres de l'Ebre Museum. It is a building that is also a cultural center of the municipality, on the ground floor there are temporary exhibitions and on the first floor there is the permanent exhibition with an exhibition of mollusks of all kinds, the explanation of the different types of fishing. and an audiovisual that shows the 24 hours of the port of St Carles de La Ràpita, the most important port in Catalonia in terms of turnover. It is advisable to complete the visit of the museum with the visit to the market with the fish auction that takes place every day from 15.30 to 18h. It is the only statewide auction with double tape. From the public area of the tb auction you can access a viewpoint of the port where you can see the arrival of the boats. Highly recommended!

The Museu de la Mar, is a place worth visiting, where you can discover the essence of the first settlers, peasant fishermen who fought every day to feed their families, and grow the little ones, discover tools work so much old as the village. Suitable place to have a good time

Excellent museum. Exhibition of ancient fishing gear, animals and fish from the area. If you are in San Carlos for a few days it is a quick visit to do with children. I would have liked more information about the museum building which turned out to be the old canal customs house.
