Went to visit APASA today! What amazing people! Despite some of their dogs having not been adopted for years they are so well taken care of. Looking forward to helping walk them and hopefully adopt one day.
Absolutely love Apasa and the dogs that reside there waiting for their forever homes. They are well looked after and cared for, like the kennels are an extension of the workers own homes with their own dogs. The dogs are friendly and you can come and walk them anytime during their opening hours.nnYou only need to supply some ID and you can enjoy a lovely walk with a shelter dog who really appreciates it!nnThey rely on donations of food and money bedding and kennels, so if you have anything you can donate please visit them. While you are there, ask to see Rossini as he will pass you his ball under the fence so you can throw it for him ❤ud83dudc3e
They do an amazing job keeping around 300 dogs!nI walk dogs every now and then. This doggies spend most days in their cage so going there and taking a dog for 1h walk helps them a lot and will make the doggy extra happy!nAlso... dogs are very well behaved and walking them is a pleasure!nnWell done APASA
Thank you to all APASA workers, amazing people and very happy and well looked after dogs.
As a dog behaviourist who got to spend time behind the scenes at APASA, you can colour me impressed.nnThey treat every dog with love, and they respect their individual personality.nnThey are transparent to would-be adopters about the pros and cons of each dogs and take grwat pains to avoid mismatches.nnThey foster an open, inclusive and welcoming attitude to volunteers and side projects.nnThey are experienced and professional in animal husbandry and in balancing a tight budget.nnBut above all, they are incredibly dedicated to every single dog in their care.nnI can't wait to come back to help out during my next holiday.
