Emblematic place, although you miss more explanations, dates, some old photo in the place.

Hispanorromana city of about 10 hectares of extension and probable municipal statute located on the top of the Hill of San Esteban of Poyo del Cid. It was founded after the destruction of the neighboring republican city of La Caridad in Caminreal during the Sertorian War. It has impressive walls partially preserved 4 meters wide dry ashlars with two walls filled with earth and rubble. Possibly it was the city of Leonica mentioned in the itineraries of Ptolemy and in the anonymous one of Ravenna. During the campaigns of Abderraman III in 935 it is already cited as abandoned and unpopulated.
