The Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes rises on one of the peaks of the Sierra de Rodes. It was not until 945 that it was considered an independent Benedictine monastery, ruled by an abbot. From the 17th century it was sacked by French armies and bandits.

The top of the Serra de Verdera is one of the most interesting monumental sites to get to know the medieval world. In this space there are three elements that represent the pillars of feudal society: those who pray, in the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes; those that produce, to the town of the towns.
