The construction of the church lasted several centuries. (From the beginning of the 16th century to the beginning of the 19th). For this reason it has several styles: Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque. Start of construction in 1524. The Renaissance façade stands out on the façade (sculptural motif of: The Assumption of the Virgin) sheltered under a wide arch. At the bottom, reference is made to the Annunciation. It has a single tower, impressive, made of solid brick, baroque, from the second half of the 18th century. Next to the main nave, already on Virgen de Belén street, is the Communion Chapel, dated 1763, in a Baroque style. The Arciprestal de la Asunción Church was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument on April 13, 1983. The image of Our Lady of Belén, the patron saint of Almansa, is found in this church, except in summer, which is located in the Sanctuary of Belén.

The facade and the tower are very beautiful and both are well preserved although it is a pity not to be able to visit it inside. Possibly it can only be visited during mass hours.
