Abahana Villas Medina 12

Sorry for the long review but I would have found a detailed review useful before travelling so hopefully this will help someone. I Stayed at Villa Madina 20 in July 2019 with a party of 18 (14 Adults, 4 kids) Fab Holiday overall and I'd go back to Moraira but wouldn't stay in this Villa again. The location was great for a villa this size, other villas we found with enough bedrooms for us were in the middle of nowhere! There was a lovely German bar facing the villa a few other bars, restaurants, a takeaway and Two supermarkets within easy walking distance. I absolutely recommend Casa Tony's Restaurant 👌We walked into Moraira town a few times which wasn't too bad, took about 20 mins and half way there are some beautiful bars right on a small Cliff overlooking the beach. The town has plenty of lovely restaurants and shops. You're not going to find a bustling Ibiza type night life, it's more laid back and family oriented but a really nice place with plenty of choice. The villa is a bit dated but clean and pleasant enough. The rooms upstairs were nicer than the rooms downstairs. I had the room with the patio doors off the pool which is the best room in the villa as its en suite and has aircon. I read a review before we went saying the rooms downstairs smelled damp but I didn't find this at all. The ones without windows did feel a bit stuffy and claustrophobic though. The outdoor space was really nice a spacious but the tiles around the pool are dangerously slippy. We only had a couple of minor injuries thankfully but I'll be amazed if no one has ever had a serious accident. The pool water was also very cloudy when we got there, they came and treated it hut it took a couple of days to clear. The pool was a lovely temperature, even for swimming at night. The biggest downside of the villa being in such a good location is that there are many other residences in close proximity and a lot are residents who don't like noise. The police even came one night to tell us to keep the noise down. I'm admit that we can be very loud but in a villa that accommodated 20 people they've gotta expect some noise! Maybe we just didn't realise how loud we can be when you're all sat out drinking and taking at night but I feel like the letting agents should warn holiday makers about this as it ruined the holiday a bit that we couldn't relax and were really conscious about the noise at night.

Perfect villa for the 12 of us including 4 under 6 years old. Great location, very helpful staff at that agency
