Sant Pere de Bigues is the parochial Romanesque church of the village of Bigues, belonging to the municipal district of Bigues i Riells, in the Vallès Oriental. It is located above the Hill, the highest point in the old dispersed town of Bigues, well in the center of its parish. It is accessed by the BV-1484 road, which connects the current center of Bigues, called the Bigues Rial, with the Turó and the Bigues Parish. It was consecrated in 1156, by the bishop of Barcelona, Ramon de Torroja, although it is documented from 1054. In 1059 it is part of the parishes of the stately district of Montbui. It was the center of a parochial term that included the chapels of Sant Bartomeu de Mont-ras, Sant Mateu de Montbui and Sant Vicenç de Riells, while modern Sant Mateu de Montbui disappeared as a cult church. In 1957 Sant Vicenç de Riells went to the bishopric of Vic. From the Romanesque temple, there remains little, but visible: the western façade, at noon, now in the old cemetery, where there is the old entrance door, as well as some more constructive elements of these two walls The church was enlarged between the 16th and 18th centuries and the bell tower was built in the last century mentioned. Inside there is a remarkable baroque altarpiece.

Catholic church of the population. It is located in a building that has evolved over the centuries. The first construction could have been Romanesque. It is very well preserved. The cult is celebrated with great devotion. It is recommended to attend the acts of worship.
