Very charming space in the city of Cuenca. The remains of this old church are used today as a terrace of the Aljibe bar. It has explanatory posters of the entire site to better understand the history of the building. Very close to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

The ruins of the Church of San Pantaleón is one of the most charming corners of the city of Cuenca. An epigraph in the same church explains the history of the place: The doorway is the oldest part of the building, with a pointed arch supported by columns with carved capitals. At the beginning of the 16th century, when the temple was known as San Juan Bautista, the north nave disappears, from which burial pits are still preserved, to become a street. From the 18th century, in which it was known as San Juan de Letrán, they are the niches of the north wall of the head. In 1874 the temple was dismantled to build barricades during the Third Carlist War and in 1998 the monument to Federico Muelas was installed in the choir. In the 19th and 20th centuries, this building has been known as San Pantaleón.

It's interesting, see if he catches you on the way or something.

A special place, it costs recknocer that it is a church because there are only two walls left standing.
