This church was started building in 1903 and was blessed and inaugurated in 1915. It was built thanks to the thrust of Mossèn Josep Vidal Bres (1865-1942) as a temple of worship in the neighborhood of Poble Nou. In 1955 it was declared a parochial church. Work by the architect Alexandre Soler i March. Building of small dimensions of plant tied to square of historicista style. It has a rich decoration of Romanesque elements that combine with others of modernist design or naturalistic inspiration on the exterior walls
