Village in Bares parish, Mañón council (A Coruña) and pristine fishing port at the entrance to the Barqueiro estuary. The port is a 250m breakwater considered Roman and still Phoenician, with a breakwater made of large granite stones rounded from the place and dozens of cables on the sand to moor small fishing boats, which are even parked in the consolidated dune on the beach . The town of Porto de Bares occupies a slope above the port, with white and blue houses and three restaurants offering quality fish, seafood and octopus. Its narrow crossing is equipped with a traffic light that regulates traffic in summer. Its installation seems to be a nod to the rear 210m summit with this name, due to the optical traffic light or telegraph with a stone tower that existed there. Where now is the "El Semáforo" viewpoint, with spectacular views of the Cantabrian Sea and the Viveiro, O Barqueiro and Ortigueira estuaries. Next to it, a select hotel, which could not receive another name. Being in Porto de Bares means enjoying its magnificent beach and gastronomy, but the day is completed by visiting the very nearby Faro and Cabo Estaca de Bares, the extreme north of Spain.

You will fall in love with the views and the turquoise of its waters .... beautiful place, beautiful beaches, you also have somewhere to eat well ... ideal place to get lost, and above all to rest and relax. Spectacular without more.

A very small port that belongs to the town of Bares, with restaurant service with a small beach completely surrounded by nature.
