Great walk from Zarzalejo to the Silla de Felipe II. Roundtrip of about 9 kilometres, going up through Entrecebezas and coming back around the Machota.

Beautiful views both of the pastures of El Escorial, Abantos and part of the Sierra de Guadalajara as well as towards Zarzalejo, La Almenara and, on clear days, up to Gredos. Easily accessible with a basic physical shape, even children from 8 or 10 years old. Of course, with suitable footwear, because it is common to see Sunday people who go out for a walk and get up in sandals or flip flops. The pass is a crossroads: the one uphill from La Herrería forest (San Lorenzo de El Escorial), those uphill from Zarzalejo town and station, and those up to each of the two Machotas. This geography allows to make several very interesting circular routes.

Collado de Entre heads and Fuente de Entre heads, from where you start to climb Machota Baja and Pico del Fraile or Machota Alta. Beautiful views
