Extraordinary place with an intact nature where water and forests are the protagonists. Here begins a route that follows the channel of the Aulencia river through a magnificent canyon surrounded by fauna of all kinds. A highly recommended walk for mountaineers.

Nice place and dam, the problem is that after the descent you find the dam closed, it cannot be crossed, and you have to turn around.

Old dam that allowed the supply of different towns such as Villanueva de la Cañada, Brunete etc., but which was left in disuse when the Valmayor reservoir was built. It is reached by a very beautiful walk through the canyon of the Aulencia river from the South or directly from Valdemorillo or Colmenarejo. It is interesting to see how nature has gradually recovered the reservoir, which now looks like a completely natural lagoon, full of vegetation.

A beautiful place away from civilization (almost) I went by bike and we had to Back because there was a sign that said access temporarily closed. Although there were not many people if we found a couple of groups of people walking.
