Every September 15 the patron saint of Cantabria is celebrated, which is the Bien Aparecida. Pilgrimages are made to this sanctuary on foot from all parts of the province, with the celebration of various masses and many food stands are placed throughout the day. To one side is a viewpoint with impressive views of the entire valley. The environment where this Sanctuary is located is spectacular. There are toilets. There are also bars and restaurants in the area.

Where the Lord is in the Tabernacle, it is always the best place in the world, but I cannot say more because they have not let me enter the Eucharist because there is a virus. Where was the Church of the lepers, the Church of the plagued, the Church of the AIDS patients? Where was the embrace of the Church that welcomes without fear, with love all the children of God? He left with faith. . .

Idyllic place with good views. Nice walk of 5 km parallel to the slightly dangerous road from Ampuero.
