A very interesting place for those interested in the history of Spain as it's the oldest church in the country

A must visit for anybody interested in the history of Spain. The last time I visited it some 20 years ago it was abandoned and a little worse for wear. Thankfully it has been cleaned and full restored to its former glory.

The site is fine. Although it was closed, an explanatory panel of what is being seen would not hurt.

You have to really want it to visit this isolated church, far from it all. But the reward is at the end of the road: beyond the unique historical character of this 7th century Visigothic church, the peace it exudes is striking. Placed on a height, in a landscape without trees (or almost), it offers the visitor landscapes as far as the eye can see, under the gentle breath of a warm wind. We want to sit down and dream.

I love it ... I think it is the best preserved hermitage from the Visigoth period. The first time I went with my family, a guide told us her story. It is also in a beautiful setting and the route along the well-marked path is a pleasure.
