Clean, bright pool situated on the side of one of the mountains overlooking Bilbao. We did not use the indoor pool. The outdoor pool had well kept grounds around it. Tall trees around the ground's border. The water was a good temperature for September. Just the one 50m pool was open outside. There was no access to other areas which I would have liked to explore - they were cordoned off with tape and barriers. Helpful staff and clean changing areas. Life guard on duty. Great to swim such a long, clean pool in the sun and fresh air.

I can only value the facilities of the pools, indoor and outdoor. In the "chapó" decks, inside what fits is a sports facility that is already years old. The best lifeguards and monitors. I have been taking the children there for years for swimming training courses, I could go to any other center in Bilbao that suits me best, but I go to Artxanda for the two monitors of the afternoon shift. Nowadays it is difficult to find "swimming coaches" giving courses to children or preparing adults for different competitions.
