Lowering to 3 stars since before I got to 50km in the bike I got the chain entangled in the main gears, now I have a scratched carbon frame and I had to walk 4km till I got to my place therefore had to change my road shoes cleats with some random stock with different color than my shoes. Bike derailleur was not properly aligned/indexed from source, when it became entangled I was pushing uphill and the chain became completely pinched between the gears and the frame, impossible to remove on the field. Needed to loose the pedals and main gear to remove it. Took the bike to the shop, they took care of everything fast. All bikes must leave the shop in perfect condition. I think this will be 1 on 100 cases, my bad luck I guess. -------- Original review I just came back from Ireland where I had to sell my Scott bikes, to live in Ontinyent, near Alcoy where the shop is. I'm not a pro, I was freaking out looking for a simple Scott speedster 10, given the pandemic, no supply all over the country (nor Ireland)... till I went to Xavi's shop... I'm really happy to have my new Addict 10 (nearest model to the one I was looking for), the staff working there is quite pro. 0 issues, 0 delays, quality over the roof. I'm in love with the shop. I was keen to have all shimano ultegra group including the pedals (they were not available in the shop), Xavi's team did look for it in other local shops and gave it to me, and they actually ordered and replenish the other shop stock after. If you are looking for a very competent team of professionals that love what they do this is your place to go.

Hired bikes from Xavi at Spainrider. He kindly opened the store for us on a Sunday so we could get an extra day cycling in. Over a week we rode new Scott carbon disc bikes, and Scott e-bike MTB. Nothing too much trouble (changed bikes midweek, partner changed her saddle). Friendly and helpful throughout. Roads and trails straight out of shop door were fantastic (some route ideas on spainrider website) and would recommend shop and area without hesitation - we'll be back!

If your plan is to travel the Sierra de Mariola and its surroundings by bike, we recommend Scott store located in Alcoy as the only alternative for bicycle rental. You have a wide variety of choice, from road, field and electric of different sizes. The daily rental price is quite affordable, from € 15 per day (mountain bike), € 30 for the electric bike. For each rental, you will have to leave a deposit, different if it is a mountain bike (€ 100), or electric (€ 500). The rental includes an extra helmet and camera in case you have an incident on the way. Good service and if you have any questions about a route, they will advise you without problem.
