Escola Giroi

Yesterday, Sunday 13 December, the awards ceremony for the 3rd “Murs” literary competition organized by the “La Garriga civil society” association was held. In this edition the theme was the Environment. The stories were worked on during the months of January and February at the school, with all 5th and 6th graders, in the written expression sessions. A selection of 5-6 stories was made per group-class and from these the jury selected 2 finalists from each school and 1 winner per category. From here we want to congratulate Gerard Ruíz (5th) and Laura Springer (6th), winners of their category and students of our school. The awards ceremony took place last year and was originally planned for April 23, Sant Jordi, but the situation of the pandemic has not allowed it to be held so far. From the school we participated in 2 of the 5 existing categories (5th, 6th, first cycle of ESO, second cycle of ESO and Baccalaureate and Training Cycles) and presenting illustrations based on the stories, of the latter participation was handled by the school AFA. In the book that has been published, the 2 finalist stories of each school and the winning story of the participating categories appear. The school's contribution, in addition to the winning students, was as follows: Students who have provided illustrations: Alguer Prims, Eudald Marsol, Joana Aparicio, Martina Nualart, Xènia Compaore, Martina Pareras, Arnau Dehesa, Aura Vergès and Arnau Antolí. 5th year finalist students: Guillermo García and Pau Padrós. 6th grade finalist students: Gisela González and Laia Pareras.
