The Caronte Sculpture is a work by Ramón Conde made in bronze, it is located at the entrance of the Sculpture Park of the Tower of Hercules in A Coruña. It represents a morbidly obese man with large breasts that normally lead to misunderstandings about the figure's sex. It is actually Charon and is part of the mythology associated with Hercules. According to legend, another of the tasks entrusted to Hercules consisted of going to the world of the dead (Hades) and bringing the three-headed dog, the canine Cerberus, which was located at its entrance, preventing the exit of those who entered there. To get to Hades, Hercules had to cross the Styx lagoon thanks to the help of the ferryman Charon who was in charge of guiding the wandering shadows of the recently deceased to the other side of the river Acheron as long as they had an obol to pay for the trip. Hence in ancient Greece the dead were buried with a coin under the tongue.

One thing is certain: we must stop the sodas and burgers.

It is a bronze sculpture, made by Ramón Conde, located at the entrance of the Tower of Hercules. It is the sculpture of a very obese man, that obesity makes his chest hang and can look like a woman. Charon is part of the mythology associated with Hercules, hence his presence in the tower of the same name.

Bronze statue representing Charon at the foot of the lighthouse of Hercules. Legend has it that Hercules descended into the underworld as a living being led by Charon, who had opposed to transport it, convincing him with strong manners, precisely for this Charon was chained for a whole year.

This sculpture represents, according to Greek mythology, the boatman who transported the souls of the dead across the Aqueronte river to the kingdom of God Hades. It is located in the corner of the parking lot and the promenade that leads to the square where Breogan is.
