Amazing site in the bend of the river just below the (rather boring) town of Jonquera up on the hill. The food was excellent, the service friendly and rapid - go there for a good lunch next time you're nearby!!

Had an excellent late lunch here on a quiet Thursday afternoon in September. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were generous. In general the feel of the place is very modern and contemporary - quite an unusual find out here. As far as settings go this one is pretty fabulous - in the shade of tall trees in the picturesque júcar canyon, you sit by a lovely pool formed by a great weir, most of the outside tables are on part of a broken old bridge. The picturesque town of Jorquera sits on the cliffs above and is worth seeing. Our Spanish being limited, we were extremely glad to find that there was no problem at all being served in English. If you’re in the area, or passing anywhere nearby, take a little diversion to this place and treat yourself.
