17/11/2020. I go to this office to deliver documentation derived from the Provincial Directorate of the General Treasury of the Social Security (building opposite) because the latter's registry was closed that day due to a health problem. They warn me that they are already warned (at the Social Institute of the Navy) of this circumstance and that they will give appointments for that same morning, so that people who had an appointment for that day can be attended to. After repeatedly calling the phone number they provide me and not being able to contact me I approach there. The security guard attends to me. He simply says that they do not attend without an appointment. He offers me the two numbers they have by appointment and I check that they don’t answer in either, to which he replies that it’s because a certain person is off (amazing!). It only offers me the possibility of dating over the internet. When I ask him for a complaint form to leave a complaint in writing, after consulting inside, he also denies me, which is simply illegal. It is outrageous and insurmountable that some who call themselves civil servants thus serve the users.

Modern offices of the Provincial Directorate of Lugo of this organization. It carries out collection functions for contributions from the maritime-fishing sector, in collaboration with the General Treasury of Social Security. It provides healthcare and hospital assistance to sea workers and their beneficiaries within the national territory in the Institute's own establishments. Health care for seafarers is maintained on board and abroad using its own means, such as the Radio-Medical Center, Data Bank, Centers abroad, medical vessels and others that may be implemented, or by agreeing to evacuate and repatriation of sick or injured workers.
