Harry and I stayed in 2011 not long after the new rooms were open. The staff were magnificent. It was absolutely luxurious in the room. Jarrod and Elisa our Camino pals from North America treated themselves too and we're equally happy. I'm sure their Camino baby started here! I've stopped here most times since for a coffee and like the old suits of armour and the dust that settles on them. Like the hotel at Azofra the rooms are modern but the bar tries to keep the antiquity. Stuart and I stopped here in 2018 and failed miserably to get a picture for the fatal-bananas blog but I still have the video loaded on of Harry and I doing the romeo and juliet scene from our street side balcony.

I stayed here on Sept. 24, 2019. I was hesitant to stay here and I should have listened to my intuition. Staff only spoke Italian, I am bilingual and I tried to speak to them in Spanish, we are in Spain! The woman was speaking to a man in Italian and they both looked at me and laughed. They were rude, woman would not show me to my bed, told me my friend could show me. I ate at the other hostel, I was not going to give this place any money. The next morning, I had four bites on my head. DO NOT STAY HERE! Visit the first place.

After 7 hours walking on Camino, we checked in the hostel and ate our meals there. The beds, showers and toilets are all fine. We took €12 menus but we didn’t know half of it was not available until we had to paid first then sat down. Vino was included in the meal, but staff lied to us said it’s not included until my husband and someone witnessed by the side and pointed out it was there on the menu. If I just want a bed for a night, it’s probably fine. But, I would not eat there and expect anything involved friendly or helpful service.

I was really enjoying my time in here. The staff are so kind and friendly, the room is clean and comfortable. My friend and I got a good sleep. You should stay in here if you have a choice. Buen Camino

Kind staff and as an albergue: it’s okay. Not so extra service. The beds are comfi but they are placed very dense. The albergue is clean. There is a local pool to refresh your foot and have a rest on the terrace. The terrace offers a lot of food opportunities with relatively good value for the price.
