The old fund, editions from 1600 to 1958, consists of three thousand works, of which six hundred are editions of El Quijote. The modern background, from 1958 until now, is made up of a thousand different editions of El Quijote, in forty languages. Among other valuable Quijotes would be the call of Obregón, the edition of the Quixote of the Academy of 1780, Dom Quichotte de la Manche, French edition of 1,777, the Doré edition of 1866, etc. This collection was donated to the town by the collector Rodolfo Puertas, in 2004.
