They stand as a sample of what is the natural park called "Natural Monument of the Secuoyas of Monte Cabezón". And, it is unique: having a circumference of about 4 meters and about 30 in height. During the Franco regime, in the 40s, it was decided to plant more than 800 redwoods in this mountain due to its rapid growth and thus provide wood to the local industry, but when they could be cut down, their wood was no longer interesting and they were left planted there. The result obtained is spectacular, a dense forest of high-rise redwoods, some up to 36 meters high, and a path that allows us to take a pleasant walk at all times of the year. The forest was declared a Natural Monument in 2003.
