I have been trying to get an appointment for the Spanish recidency for one and a half year!! 1,5 year!! (since February 2019)
I have tried almost every other day during this whole time, at 9.00 AM as I had been advised that new appointments are released. I have also been to the office explaining my issue without getting any kind of assistance, they only repeated the info about booking online and to keep trying. I would like to follow the Spanish law, but how can I do that in this situation?
Can someby explain me what is going on with the integration as a foreigner here in Valencia? Getting a NIE, WITH CITA PREVIA, is apparantly not possible anymore...
The police just say that they don't give you a NIE anymore.
So you have all the documents, went to the bank and payed, have an appointment. And even than with that you can't get a NIE anymore....
So HOW can you get a NIE now????
After 5 months trying to get a Cita Previa, I was told by a grumpy lady who works there I don't need a NIE for anything. She shouted at me in very fast Spanish, and she didn't even speak English.
It was pointless trying to reason with her why I need the NIE, so I just left and I'll try later with someone else.
The people were very helpful and professional when we went today to apply for our residence certificates. As they were when they issued our NIEs. The building is a bit rough and so is the area. But the staff are courteous and efficient. Perhaps not all applicants are.
I was getting NIE. Everything was really fast and everyone were polite. My Spanish is very basic (A1) but it was enough. Got NIE right away. I don’t know why previous reviews are so bad, I was frightened at first :)
