Palace of Raxoi (1766-72), in the Praza do Obradoiro, in front of the cathedral, in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia). Having as promoter the Archbishop Don Bartolomé de Rajoy y Losada (1751-72) and the City Council of Santiago according to a neoclassical project -French Neoclassicism of Italian inspiration- of the French engineer Charles Lemaur y Burriel (1721-85), as a seminary of confessors, house town hall and prison, on the site occupied by the old civil and ecclesiastical prisons and a wall canvas. The master builders were Juan López Freire and Alberto Ricoy, under the direction of the master architect Friar Manuel de los Mártires. Rectangular plant, with almost 90 m. length of the main facade. Horizontality (the Palace) versus verticality (the Cathedral). Headquarters of the Presidency of the Xunta de Galicia and the Santiago City Council.

A shame this city council, in the middle of a covid situation, it lowers its ears and does not even deign to answer, I have a restaurant and tomorrow I don't even know if I can open it ... the worst thing is that it is not the first time and at the moments that most attention and clarity are needed they hide, you give real shame and shame

It seems to me an injustice that the city council makes the municipal automobile tax pay a surcharge, especially older people who do not have electronic banking and who, due to the period of confinement, could not make the payment. It is an incredible fundraising effort, I am outraged!

Much to improve on administrative attention.nI recently had to use the administrative services of the City Council, in different departments. I thought I was back in time ... The general atmosphere was apathy, disinterest, and basically the feeling that I was asking for a favor. One of the visits made me go the next day because they had to ask for information at another office in the municipality and, send noses, did not work the telephone of the council (!?). If you see that there was no other way to contact the person who had to provide this information ... nor will you do it. We have changed the century for a long time, and from the administration of a city that is being renewed and European is expected another thing.
