Well-preserved Roman bridge

The bridge over the Bermaña river with three semicircular arches, a stone parapet and entrances for passers-by, still preserves remains of the old pavement. It is located on the route from Pontevedra to Compostela on the Portuguese Way of St. James, and earlier on the Itinerary Antoniano. The bridge is of medieval construction on Roman foundations, since it was built in the s. XVI on a primitive Roman bridge to join the town of Caldas with the neighborhood of San Roque. It is presided over by a transept located at the beginning of the road.
