This is a large pretty level dedicated motorhome parking area with 47 spaces (not all open) and free services excluding electricity.nThey are not suitable for really large motorhomes (bus type) greater than 9 meters or motorhomes with trailers.nThe maximum stay is 48 hours which is controlled by a warden.nnPros:nFree parking.nFree full services excluding electricity.nLocal supermarkets, bakery, restaurant, cafes and bars.nBeach across road.nCycle paths.nGreen with play area.nPicnic tables.nLong promanade.nnCons:nNo shade.nMosquitoes...nnThere are full free services excluding electricity with good signage. There are 3 service areas.nnThe 3 grey drains are on a slight rise and have just ok flow direction into the center grate. The grey outlet pipe needs to be close to the drain grate.nnThe 3 black WC drains are all 500mm off the ground under steel covers. The drain pipes are large with no splashback. The cassette press buton taps, clearly marked are all above the drains and have reduced pressure hence no splashback.nnThe 3 fresh water push button taps are clearly marked. Two of the taps are small screw-on connections. The third tap has no screw-on and a special rubber connection is needed to connect the water hose. All the tap water pressure are just ok with one very weak.nnThere are small bins around the Aire.nnThere are also 6 wash-up sinks but bring your own plug. There is a public toilet also.nnThe pitches are pretty close together. We had to used our chocks to level. Some pitches tilt to the left/right or back to front depending where you park.nA motorhome arrived late evening with a trailer and expertly reversed into a space with the trailer on the path out the back. The were gone very early the next morning.nEach day around lunchtime a guy takes note of all the registrations of the motorhomes parked up. Don't know if he tells people to move on as we only stayed 48hours.nWhile we were here the police had prohibited parking in some pitches (about 30%) with tape on the ground.nnThe sandy beach across the road is large and goes for 2.5km before the breakwater. It's also shallow for nervous swimmers. There are beach full body and foot showers dotted all along the beach.nThe promanade goes all the way to Benicassim with a cycle track.nExercise and picnic areas seem to be everywhere. This area just has everything for a few relaxing days by the beach.nnThere are restaurants and cafe/bars close-by but had restrictions due to covid-19.nThe closest supermarket Mercadona is 1km away. Lidl and Carrefour are 5.5km away, a 10 minute drive.nnWe had 2 relatively good nights here bar the mosquitoes.nWe had stayed here before in the summer and the mosquitoes ruined our stay and we quickly moved on. Didn't expect to encounter them at the end of October but we did. We are travelling full time for the last 3 years and this is one of the worst places for mosquitoes, for us anyway. Well Salou and La Manga were pretty bad also.nnBugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..)nThere were mosquitoes here at the end of October with the weather very warm. My wife and myself got bitten many times and we had some in the motorhome in the evenings which had to be taken care of with our battery operated tennis racquet.
Has water, toilet drop and free parking. For us personally it's a little compact.
Great spot should be more just like it in every city
Thank you to the city for providing this. But i really agree with other local posters that they should control and move the people on whi use it as a campground and stay weeks at a time. Especially a bunch of retires who I'm sure could afford a proper campground easier than a family with 3 or more kids. Be aware it was overflowing with campers in mid February.
Brilliant motorhome stopover. All services are free but stay limited to 48 hours which is fair for all. Thanks to the community for providing this excellent facility.
