Why not get as close as you can to the beach while still eating a churro with hot chocolate and enjoying the sunshine and local surfers. The churros here seem to be made of something that’s lighter than flour, I think it might be potato-based? It’s interesting and an order gets you several “sticks” to go with your hot chocolate by the beach! Loved how quaint it was and would go back if I ever find my way to Zarautz again!

We made a stop in Zarautz on a road trip from San Sebastián, and had the churros con chocolate here. Each order has five churros and a cup of hot chocolate for 4 euros, which you can enjoy while looking out to the beach and the sea.

A very delicious vermouth, very funny views watching everyone who ventures with the waves but they have a minimum of € 10 with a card. Keep it in mind. 👍

Too bad !!! As professional as they have always been as hoteliers, in the current hygienic-sanitary situation, the waiters are not up to the task: they do not cover their mouth and nose with the mask. It has an easy solution, but you have to be aware to protect us all
