Ancient door, and the one used by King Alfonso VI upon entering the city after its reconquest in the XI century

One of the first historic places one encounter when entering the old city of Toledo.nThis ancient door with a spacious street on one side and a very small, curved street on the other side, gives the feeling of entering a magical place, a travel in time.nInvestigative people will find it intriguing due to the unusual figures in a symbol placed on the upper part of the door.

Puerta de Valmardón or Puerta Bab al-Mardum is a medieval Gate of Toledo, built in the 10th century.nIt is one of the oldest gates in the city, but very simple compared to the rest.
