Visiting this shop is quite nice experience: you have to ring the doorbell to be allowed into the monastery where you are welcomed by a nun. The room we were in was beautiful and the nuns themselves sell their sweets. The sweets are very nice, especially the marzipan pastries with pine nuts.

I bought cupcakes and a piece of cake thinking it would be homemade, and it tastes just like the cupcakes or cupcakes bought from the supermarket. They only taste like sugar. What a disappointment!nWhen I bought, I did not want to ask if the products were made by the nuns in the convent because it seemed obvious to me (and even offensive to ask), and I do not know if they will be made by them or supplied by some factory, but of course, they only taste like sugar.nI have not tried the marzipan yet, but since it is the same as the muffins and the sponge cake ... ud83dudc4enAnyway, I take it as I have done a charity work and have helped the convent. Although I would have liked to do it and receive some rich products anyway.

Buying sweets from any of the convents in the old town of Toledo is a delight. Highly recommended are those made by the Comendadoras de Santiago and Las Gaitanas, in their respective convents. To look for them in these streets and to acquire them is to interact with the history of the city and its people: it is to take a physical piece (as well as delicious) of this human community that we have called Toledo, for centuries.

Very badly, we arrived at 7:34 p.m. that is 4 minutes late and they did not attend to us, we saw a boy closing the door and said that he did not give us anything. They had to go hungry to see what it is to have a business and not be paid for that keep your cakes
