This lovely church sits on the top of the hill overlooking Calpe Old Town. You approach up a series of steps to a delightful square surrounded by colourful Spanish houses and the Church forms one side of this. The interior is modern on entry dominated by large murals on the far walls,however go to your left through an entrance and you find yourself within the old traditional part. This part pays appropriate Catholic homage. Much more subdued light, stained glass with an extravagant gold adorned alter and icons aplenty. Large paintings of scriptural allegory are hung around the interior. This is a pleasant, cool, spiritual and quiet place to take in during a visit to the old town. Highly recommended.

In the heart of the old town of Calpe. Wander around the narrow - almost traffic free - streets, enjoy a coffee or beer, and imagine what it was like before motor cars were invented.
