Throughout the 1950s, the Pont de Suert multiplied its population, as a result of the construction of the hydroelectric power plants of the company ENHER. As the church had become too small for the new crowd of people, ENHER funded the construction of a new church, the bright building designed by Eduardo Torroja which is seen on the roadside.nThe old church lost its function in 1955, when the new one was inaugurated.nIn 1993 the building was restored and, since 2001, it has housed the Ribagorça Sacred Art Collection.nThere are not a large number of pieces and most are carvings from the Baroque era. However, given that admission is free, it is a visit not to be missed, if you visit the old quarter of the Pont de Suert (where it is also worth getting lost in its medieval streets).
