Beautiful environment to spend hours watching birds, ducks ... it is a shame that we saw it at low tide and you could not see the sea in the background, but if all the dunes, it is a very complete site, the truth in terms of vegetation is concerned . There is an observatory but it is in ruins, it is a shame because from the top everything would look perfect and without the birds realizing your existence, it has stairs inside to climb but the ceiling that would be the floor of the upper floor is pretty cracked.

Lagoa das Xalfas is located between the towns of Muros and Carnota, behind the dune complex that exists in the Praia de Area Maior. In this saltwater lagoon a large number of birds nest, turning the place into a rich ecosystem of great ecological value. Near the lagoons is in Monte Louro, which with the magnificent beach forms an environment of spectacular beauty.
