Sant Serni de Baiasca is the Romanesque parish church of the town of Baiasca, in the municipality of Llavorsí, in the region of Pallars Sobirà. It is in the western half of the village of Baiasca itself. The most interesting part is the original head located to the east formed a bent semicircular apse, which saves the steepness of the terrain, decorated with two levels of Lombard arches on the outside. Inside there are also two levels, the lower occupied by a kind of crypt. Exceptionally, the 12th century murals discovered in the seventies are preserved in situ. The bell tower is attached to the wall that encloses the nave at its western end; it is covered by a sharp slate. The entrance is through a simple door located in the south wall. The walls are of very dark slate, without roughing and of irregular size with lime mortar.

I knew Baiasca for her excursions and surroundings but in the end I was encouraged to meet her for her great treasure, her church, that if after having the patience necessary to look for the watchman of the keys throughout the town. A discovery that has left me astonished.
